Cafe World Problems
Experiencing problems with loading your Cafe World? Or do you have a problem that your Cafe World goes really slow? Read on, I`ll tell you what to do.
Cafe World runs on Facebook as an additional application and it uses Adobe Flash player and Javascript functions. You don`t need to worry about what are those terms. The important thing for you is that if you are experiencing that your Cafe World game is slow or you having problem with loading and entering the game, there are several steps you need to check.
Cafe World Problems: Possible Solutions
- Do you have the latest Flash player? Recently the latest version is 10.0.32.18. If not, go to Adobe website
- If you have many tabs opened, close them and restart your browser (close and open again after a while).
- Are there any other things running in the background of your computer? Like a movie or something that is demanding on a performance.
- Try a different browser – if you are using Internet explorer, try Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox (Safari or Opera etc.).
- Clean up your temporary memory – cache.
Cafe World Problems: Clearing your cache
Firefox 3:
- Tools
- Clear Private Data
- Close and open again the browser
Opera 9.x
- Tools
- Preferences
- Advanced
- History
- Disk cache section – Empty now
- Close and open again the browser
Safari
- From the Safari menu, click Empty Cache.
- When asked: “Are you sure you want to empty the cache?” click Empty.
- From the Safari menu, click Preferences.
- From the Security dialog box, click Bookmarks.
- Click Show Cookies.
- From the Cookie dialog box, click Remove All.
- Close and open again the browser
Microsoft Internet Explorer 7/8
- Tools
- Internet options
- Browsing history
- Delete – Delete all
- Close and open again the browser
If it is still slow, the problem might be in your processor. Try to reduce the quality of the graphics in Cafe World. This can be done in the menu in the right down corner – the small icon of an eye (if you can`t find it, refer to my The Beginner`s Walkthrough Guide, number 15).
What definitely helps me is opening Google Chrome, without any additional tabs, and play Cafe World in it. So far the best solution I`ve come up with.

What I see from what are people repeatedly looking for, there is a big Cafe World problem with saving. I`ve done some research and I think this could be a solution for your Cafe World saving problem.
This post is a variation of the previous post Cafe World Problems.
First, I was looking for any information from Zynga, which should be the best source. I don`t know how you, but I`m not satisfied with information Zynga is releasing. Well, not releasing. I`d expect more information to be on their website.
Cafe World Problem – Browser
Anyway, I`ve found on their website recommendation about using internet browser:
Zynga games are designed to be used with most browsers, however there are several documented issues surrounding Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) and Flash Content.
If you are using IE8 we suggest that you try a new browser such as Firefox 3+, Safari 4, or Google Chrome. Internet Explorer v.6 or 7 should also be acceptable.
Then I looked at statistics from my pages to see what browsers are used by the visitors. I was surprised!
Cafe World Elite Visitors - Browser Usage
36% of visitors are still using Internet explorer. Generally I don`t recommend using Internet explorer for browsing, because it`s not safe. If you are using Internet explorer even for playing Cafe World, I`d recommend you to try a different browser. From my testing Google Chrome is the best choice – it`s safe and it`s fast. Get Google Chrome.
Cafe World Problem – Flash
For a smooth running of Cafe World, Zynga recommends the latest flash. It`s natural, because Cafe World is made in flash. I just checked the latest version of flash and it is 10.0.32.18. Now let`s have a look at another graph:

It`s much better than using of internet browsers, but still 15% doesn`t have the latest version. If you are not sure what version you have, I`d recommend you to go to the Adobe website and download the latest version of flash.
Cafe World Problem – Saving
Many people are complaining about a problem with saving in Cafe World. Interesting is that it is connected with Cafe World expansion for 400k. Apparently, there is some problem between the game and servers, which don`t seem to recognize your cafe after the expansion.
The problem people are having is that they are not able to save their game. I`ve done some research and found out that there is a solution which seems to work. Because I didn`t buy the expansion, I don`t have the experience, but it should work.
To solve the problem with saving your cafe on Zynga`s servers, you need to get back your cafe to the default:
- change the flooring to the default (the wooden floor). Some people say it`s enough to make the floor wooden just at the place where the expansion has taken the place.
- change the wall color to the default (the blue walls). Again, some people say it`s not necessary to do the whole cafe, just the place of the expansion extension.
- visit someone`s cafe and get back
- when you get back, your cafe should be saved after your changes
Let me know in the comments whether this solution of Cafe World problem with savings has solved your problem, or if you`ve figured out something better.
The last day Zynga has made some change, so maybe it`s possible that the problem with saving is not actual anymore.

encountered problems adding stoves, tables. My Cafe world will hang and does not allow me do anything else and guest enable to enter my cafe… i have to start again but those things i added not saved..

Because I don`t experience this problem, I can only serve you what I`ve read somewhere else (it`s pretty insane, but people say it works for them):
- remove everything from your cafe except stoves and counters
- change flooring and walls back to default (wood floor and blue walls)
- visit your neighbor
When you get back, your cafe should look the same as you left it. Try to make some change, save the game, quit the game and then get back.

Can you tell me how you can screw your cafe, if you put your things to the inventory (not sell), change walls and the flooring? Yeah, it costs some money, but I`m sure that if someone has paid 400k for the expansion, has even a few hundreds for changing the flooring and walls in order to save the game.
And secondly, can you tell me how would I benefit from it?

Cleared the cache, update Java, updated Flash and it still runs slower on my Core 2 2.6 with 6GB than my P4 2.4 with 1.5gb. So it is not Java, flash, CPU, RAM or the browser.
The P4 runs the game just fine.
Are there any other suggestions?

My cafe went from a thumbs up of over 70 down to 5 for no reason. Plenty of food, no changes in design. I can’t get it back up. NO CUSTOMERS! Any ideas why?

unfortunately Cafe World isn`t a perfect game and because it is based on web browser, it is really demanding on your resources.
There might be also a bug which conflicts with your specific configuration.
BUT I`d recommend you to try 2 things:
1) try to lower graphics (hit the eye in the right down corner of CW)
2) what browser do you use? Try Google Chrome, I`ve had the best results with it. Also make sure you don`t have thousands of tabs opened. The less tabs you have opened, the better for your computer performance (and CW)
Have you checked resources of your computer when it`s idle? Another thing is that you might have some process running in the background which eats your performance.

The computer is built to game and has a good graphics card, far better than the P4. When idle it is idle 1-2%. I have tried Chrome. Same results as IE8. Even my 2.4 Core 2 laptop runs it smoothly with IE and Chrome.

hi i just got a new 10″ mini laptop, runing xp for playing cafe world on the go. using ie 8 and shockwave flash. facebook home very fast and game loads very swiftly but the second you click the tick tips page the browser freezeas and after a several minutes it moves for a seceond or two the it goes white and ie8 is not responding. 1 gig ram but nothing loaded or running but the game.

what about this. my waiters arent serving all of customers and it’s brought my buzz rating down from 107 yesterday morning to 8.0 today. and i mean i have waiters who are standing around and doing nothing until the customer just gets up and walks down.

I would definitely recommend you to try a different browser – Google Chrome works the best for me.
Also I would try to restart computer, run the browser without any additional opened tabs and try to run Cafe World.

Try the same thing as Ruhi has done – redecorate a little bit your cafe.

seems there is some mailfunction in using your computer`s resources. There is nothing more I can advice you if you have tried all the things listed above.
But I would definitely contact Zynga`s support, they might have an answer.

Most of the suggestions sound like a bunch of tripe, sorry. I’ve been running on Windows 7 and IE8. System is sluggish, has run fab in the past and yesterday it soared to great heights again. Reason unknown. However the sluggishness has not prevented me from maintaining a 105, all due to layout of tables and servers ability to service customers. I “discovered” a trick that has allowed me to pick up my game on IE8. I open Cafe World and then open another tab. When I make a command action in Cafe World I go to the IE8 logo at the bottom of the page and switch between the Cafe World and the other tab. Don’t know why but it allows Cafe World to operate more efficiently. Command, tab switch, cafe world. Command, tab switch, cafe world. Redundant but better than taking an hour to load thirteen stoves. ;o)

I haven’t experienced any of those so far (well, except testing in which browser CW runs faster), so I can’t judge.

Have you not tried this it makes it Faster For some People if you go into Task Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del) And Then Click The Processes Tab, In The List Of Processes Look For The Internet Process which is called iexplorer.exe (Right Click the process) And when the Box Appears If you see (Set Affinety) Click It And If CPU1 and CPU2 are Ticked Then Untick One Of the Boxes and leave one ticked Then press ok and exit task manager you will notice you gett a better framerate on CW and better performance but still it uses around 450 to 550 MB of ram its ridiculous CPU jumps to 60% to 95% that game tries to kill your comp lol anyway try that way i said and if you exit your internet browser and re-open it to go on cafe world again then you will have to UNTICK the CPU again and leave one ticked all the time :)

Hi there… having a problem I hope you might be able to help with. For the last several days, it seems that nothing is happening at my cafe unless I’m logged in and playing. If I leave and come back (even for a day or more), everything stays the same: food amounts, buzz ratings, everything. My doors are on, I’ve changed nothing. Any clue as to whats going on? Thanks!

Hey Chris,
this is really weird. I’m not a developer, but I assume that if the game is running on Zynga’s servers and you are having problems while you are not playing Cafe World, then I suggest the problem is in the script that takes care of running your cafe while you are not logged in. Having said that, I think you should contact Zynga’s support.

Please help. Ever since I upgraded to bountiful cafe, my buzz rating dropped like crazy. But, more importantly my gift box is all wacky. I have 78 gifts but only 17 of them show up, I can scroll pages where the gifts should be but all I have is blank pages. What could be causing this, and Please tell me how to fix it

hey… i am having this problem my cafe world doesn’t load..i just get the “heading to your cafe” screeen and nothiin after tht as if it stuck.. well this happened when i redecorated my cafe…
i dont think theres a problem with my browser because everyone in my family can load there cafe…but even they cant visit my cafe… they too get the “heading to ur neighbors cafe” it stay like tht forever… i dont know wat to dooo. please help!

how to make it not lag? i use google chrome,ie8, even mozilla on window 7..so far it doesnt have any problem on loading the game, for the 1st minute it runs ok but then it runs really2 slow..
ive tried everything but it still the same..
n im not so sure about ctrl-alt-del thing,most of them used xp or vista..i dont know how to operate..
pls help me..

Hey Hans,
if the game is laging, then I’d think the problem might be in your internet connection as well.
Have you tried to run the game on a different computer?
You don’t have to worry about ctrl-alt-del, it works the same way as it works in xp/vista.

Hi,
All of you who are wondering why the waiters are just standing around and not serving -
Please check whether the “accessible” side of the food-counter is accessible to them. That means, if you go in Decoration mode, you can select your counter and rotate them. Keep rotating 3-4 times until you see the plates side. Make sure that this side is accessible by the waiters. Simple.

There’s something very terrible happen to my COFFEE MACHINE . I Had become the coffee master for 2 months before. Today I signed up and realized that it was turning to the level for beginer. My energy has only 50/50 instead of 86/100 as normal. What should I do now to fix it? Pls help me . Thank you so much :((

Pls help me with my coffee machine. I unlocked perfectly all 3 tabs and had become the coffee master already. But today, something’s very terrible hapenned. My machine turning back to the beginning and my energy low down up to 50/50, instead of 86/100 as always. What should i do to make my machine back as normal ? Really need your help now.

I am having problems loading Cafe World. I get up to the point where it displays Amelia with the ‘blue screen’ just before the “Heading to your Cafe” message is displayed and then nothing. It just sits there with a blank blue screen. I hadn’t made any changes to my cafe before this started happening and I have tried loading the game everyday for the past 2 weeks hoping it was something to do with the issues that Zynga were trying to fix at the time (Cafe Orders for Dale). I have also updated Adobe Flash Player several times in the hope that something would work. But it hasn’t. Please help me as I am very frustrated and really enjoy playing Cafe World. Thank you so much.

have you tried to run your Cafe World on another computer? If so, does it work or not? If it doesn’t work on another computer, then the problem is in your facebook ID and you should contact Zynga. If it does work, then there’s something wrong with your computer – browser, flash, internet connection, local security, etc.
There’s no easy way to say where is the problem. You need to find out if the problem is in your computer or in the game itself by trying to log in on another computer or ask another person to log into their Cafe on your computer. Then you can start from there.
